What's the worst that can happen if we send out couriers with little or no training at all? Why spend the money and time training couriers before-hand, why not just let them learn as they go? Please share your thoughts in the comments below, I'd love some feedback on this. I cited a recent study by the American Nurse Journal that showed a clear relation to botched medical courier deliveries and nurses' ability to provide patient care, and he wasn't swayed. One courier on social media accused me of trying to sensationalize medical deliveries for the sake of profit, even claiming that there's no real proof of any danger related to those deliveries. Call today at (734) 276-0499 to discuss your legal needs. The Thompson Law Firm, PLLC is a law firm other law offices hire weekly to assist them with their client’s legal needs. Our training program is created in such a way that the viewers internalize every delivery-treat each specimen or medication like it belonged to your own relative, because it truly is someone's father, mother, sister or brother who is going to benefit from a well completed delivery or suffer if you make a mistake. While many law firms are available by appointment only, and during normal business hours we pride ourselves in being there when you need us. His response shocked and saddened me, "I don't know, and I don't want to know-it's better that way." I was encouraged.Ībout a year ago, I was doing a driver ride-along with a courier to assess his practices and I asked him what types of specimens he was transporting. I did find one lady in Wisconsin who shared a video of the properly marked coolers in the back seat of her car and during the video, she described what "type" of specimen each cooler was designated for. I reached out to the courier and offered him a free 1-year certification via our Automated Training Program and he blocked me. The picture above is of a courier showing his followers how easy it is to deliver lab specimens-even dangling the specimen in his hand to emphasize the ease of such deliveries, and then tossing it in the "in basket" and in a sing-songy voice proclaiming: "Ta-da!" I'm sure he doesn't have a clue as to the dangers of hemolyzing a specimen by shaking it or by not maintaining the proper temperature. We've seen couriers tossing specimens on the floor of their vehicles or the seat of their car and most of them aren't even using coolers or carrying devices of any kind. There are dozens of videos showing people "how" to start their own Medical Courier company, but very few showing them how to do the deliveries properly. We started posting content on Tik Tok a few months back, and to be honest, I was a bit shocked by what I saw.
